Brother just gave me the most 'ridiculous and trickiest' maths question that came out in the PSLE paper. im a maths freak ok, so i get the answer correct lah!! haha. action eh..

jim bought some chocolates and gave half of it to kent. kent bought some sweets and gave half of it to jim. jim ate 12 sweets and kent ate 18 chocolates. the ratio of jim's sweets to chocolates became 1:7 and the ratio of kent's sweets to chocolates became 1:4. how many sweets did kent buy?
